About Me
With over 20 years of experience in therapy and bodywork,
I support people with presence and care on their journey back to balance, health and inner calm.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Five Elements do not only describe processes within the body –
they also reflect the path of a human life.
My own journey has been shaped by movement, transformation and growth.
Perhaps it is this experience that allows me to accompany others today with such attentiveness and sensitivity.
My name is Géraldine Bosshard, and I work as a licensed practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine in my practice Raum zur Mitte in St. Gallen.
I also practice in Zurich on Fridays at Holistiq Health.
My Path
I grew up in Engelburg, in an environment that taught me early on to trust both my inner strength and my sensitivity.
Even as a young girl, I was drawn to questions about the body, about health, and about what helps people return to their natural centre.
Personal experiences with illness and healing have deeply shaped my path.
At a young age, I supported my mother through a serious illness, and later accompanied a close person through a cancer diagnosis.
These experiences profoundly influenced my understanding of illness, transformation and human resilience, and showed me how complex and individual the paths of healing can be.
Today, after more than 20 years of professional experience, I support women, children and families through times of change –
with solid knowledge, therapeutic experience, and deep respect for the body’s innate ability to heal.
Experience in Sports Medicine and Therapy
My professional path began as a medical massage therapist, working with, among others:
-
GC Zurich Unihockey
-
Zurich Athletics Club
-
German U19 and men’s national teams
Working with professional athletes shaped my understanding of the human body:
precise, attentive, and grounded in deep respect for its adaptability and regenerative capacity.
The Path to Traditional Chinese Medicine
My personal fertility journey ultimately led me to Traditional Chinese Medicine.
During my four-year training at the Chiway Academy in Winterthur,
I also completed an intensive further training in acupuncture and psychology with Dr. med. Hamid Montakab.
Particularly in women’s health, the interaction between body and mind is essential –
an understanding that continues to shape my work today.
Areas of Focus
Today, I work as a health-insurance-recognised practitioner of Traditional Chinese
Medicine, with a special focus on:
-
Women’s health and hormonal balance
-
Fertility and pregnancy
-
Babies, children and adolescents
-
Stress regulation and inner balance
I am currently completing advanced mentorship training in preparation for the federal higher professional examination (OdA AM), further deepening my clinical expertise.
My Therapeutic Approach
In my practice, I combine methods from Traditional Chinese Medicine and Japanese bodywork, including:
-
Chinese acupuncture
-
Baby Shiatsu
-
Pediatric Tuina Anmo
-
Shonishin (needle-free Japanese pediatric acupuncture)
-
Japanese Manaka acupuncture (minimal-invasive)
-
Medical massage
-
Mindful movement and bodywork
My work continues to be shaped by advanced trainings with Elisabeth Buchner,
Karin Kalbantner-Wernicke, Dr. med. Thomas Wernicke, Dr. Steven Birch, Oran Kivity,
as well as ongoing exchange with international practitioners.
Working with Children
Working with children is particularly close to my heart.
Children today grow up in a world that is often fast, loud and demanding.
It is therefore essential to offer them spaces where they can experience calm, body awareness and self-confidence.
For over two years, I was actively involved in children’s handball,
where I combined therapeutic work with movement.
Through short, playful sequences, I integrated Samurai Shiatsu into training sessions –
offering children a valuable way to experience mindfulness, respect and body awareness.
Family
My son is my anchor.
Through him, I found my way back to sport and also engaged as a coach.
In November 2025, I consciously stepped back from this intensive role to fully focus on my studies, my case work and my therapeutic practice.
Amid all challenges, my son gives me what matters most:
Meaning.
Raum zur Mitte – Japanese Acupuncture
In my practice, I support people who are seeking stability, inner clarity and physical balance.
My work brings together medical knowledge, traditional practices and genuine human presence –
with deep respect for each individual’s path.
Final Reflection
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the element Wood represents growth, movement and flexibility.
To me, health is not about rigid perfection,
but about the ability to realign again and again –
like a tree that bends with the wind while remaining deeply rooted.
Practising flexibility and embracing change is therefore not only a therapeutic principle of my work –
but also my own way of life.
